A child may fall after a partial detachment, increasing the risk of injury.
What parents need to know
This recall involves certain Britax B-Safe Gen 2, B-Safe Gen 2 Flexfit, B-Safe Gen 2 Flexfit Plus, B-Safe 35, B-Safe Ultra, and Endeavours child seats. A screw in the carrying handle may come loose, causing the handle to partially detach.
The concern is that if the handle partially detaches, a child may fall, which increases the risk of injury.
A remedy for this issue is still being developed. The official notice does not instruct owners to stop using the product. Britax expects to mail owner notification letters, and owners may contact Britax customer service.
