Deli Jerry Fuel Containers, sold on Walmart.com by Deli OfficeSupplies, have been recalled. These are dark green metal fuel containers with a cap and a plastic tube, identified by an embossed Star logo and capacity marking on the side.
The containers were recalled because their closures are not child-resistant, which violates the requirement under the Children's Gasoline Burn Prevention Act. This means the closures do not provide the protection required to keep children from accessing the fuel inside, creating a risk of burns and poisoning to children.
If you have one of these fuel containers, stop using it immediately. Contact Deli OfficeSupplies for a full refund. As part of the process, you will be asked to write "RECALLED" on the container in permanent marker, destroy it, and send a photo of the destroyed container to [email protected]. After that, dispose of the container according to your local and/or state disposal procedures.
