This recall covers Zimtown Portable "Jerry" style Gas and Fuel Cans with spout, sold as metal 5.0 gallon (20L) containers in red and army green, with a white spout and yellow vent cap.
The cans were recalled because their closure is not child-resistant, which violates the requirement set by the Children's Gasoline Burn Prevention Act for portable fuel containers. Because the closure does not meet this child-resistant standard, the containers pose a risk of burns and poisoning to children.
