Hazard
The magnetic stick figure toy sets violate the mandatory standard for toys because they can liberate loose high-powered magnets posing an ingestion hazard to children. When high-powered magnets are swallowed, the ingested magnets can attract each other or other metal objects and become lodged in the digestive system. This can result in perforations, twisting, and/or blockage of the intestines, blood poisoning and death.
What parents need to know
This recall involves GBYMIUY stick figure toy sets, magnetic toys sold in packs of multi-colored transparent and opaque human-shaped figures, with magnets located in the hands and feet. The packaging is printed with “GBYMIUY” and a product number.
These toys violate the mandatory standard for toys because they can release loose high-powered magnets, creating an ingestion hazard for children.
