Graco Children's Products Inc. is recalling certain SnugRide Turn & Slide infant car seats, along with Modes Nest travel systems that include a SnugRide Turn & Slide infant seat. Graco's recall report lists the specific model information.
The recall is due to a potential issue where the infant seat carrier may detach from its base during a crash. Because of this, the seats and travel systems do not meet the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 213 for child restraint systems, and a carrier that detaches in a crash increases the risk of injury to a child.
If you own one of the affected products, stop using the infant seat with its base. Graco's notice advises owners to install the seat using the vehicle's seat belt instead of the base until the replacement seat arrives, and states that Graco will replace the seat free of charge. - Owners are advised to follow the instructions for installing the child seat with the vehicle seat belt (without the base) until the replacement seat arrives. Graco will replace the child seat, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed May 22, 2026. Owners may contact Graco customer service at 1-800-345-4109.
