This recall involves the Rainbow Mystery Squishy Bun Toys, a translucent pink squishy dumpling toy containing glitter and water beads, with a cartoon face and packaged in a tan plastic container shaped like a bamboo steamer. The front of the removable package labeling reads “Rainbow MYSTERY” and “SUGAR EDITION.”
The toys are being recalled because the water beads inside expand larger than allowed under the mandatory safety standard for toys, creating a deadly ingestion hazard. If a child swallows a water bead, it can cause ingestion, choking, and intestinal obstruction hazards inside the body, leading to severe discomfort, vomiting, dehydration, and a risk of death.
