Toyworld168 Recalls Rainbow Mystery Squishy Bun Toys Due to Risk of Serious Injury or Death from Water Bead Ingestion; Violate Mandatory Standard for Toys
Reviewed and published by MPB Safety Desk
Hazard
The squishy bun toys violate the mandatory safety standard for toys because the water beads inside the dumplings expand larger than permitted, posing a deadly ingestion hazard. If a water bead is ingested, it can pose ingestion, choking and intestinal obstruction hazards inside a child’s body, resulting in severe discomfort, vomiting, dehydration and a risk of death to a child.

What parents need to know
Toyworld168 is recalling its Rainbow Mystery Squishy Bun Toys, a squishy dumpling-style toy that is translucent green in color and contains glitter and water beads. The toy has a cartoon face and comes packaged in a tan plastic container shaped like a bamboo steamer, with "Rainbow MYSTERY" and "SUGAR EDITION" printed on the front of the removable package labeling. Other than the cartoon face, the product itself has no markings.
The toys are being recalled because they violate the mandatory safety standard for toys: the water beads inside the dumplings expand larger than permitted, creating a deadly ingestion hazard. If a water bead is swallowed, it can cause ingestion, choking and intestinal obstruction hazards inside a child's body. This can lead to severe discomfort, vomiting, dehydration and a risk of death to a child.
Parents and caregivers should stop using the squishy dumpling toys immediately and contact Toyworld168 for a full refund. As part of the remedy process, consumers will be asked to write "RECALLED" in permanent marker on the squeezy dumpling and on its tan plastic container, throw the toy away, and send a photo to the address given in the official recall notice showing the disposed toy.
If you think a child may have swallowed a water bead, seek medical attention right away. For full details on how to contact the firm and complete the refund and disposal process, refer to the official recall notice.
